Privacy Policy

Short version: We collect only what we need to deliver your report and follow up. We don't sell your data. You can ask us to delete it anytime.

What we collect

When you complete the positioning assessment or book a call, we collect:

Your name and email address
Your assessment responses (role, industry, positioning answers)
Payment confirmation from Stripe (we never see or store card numbers)
Basic usage data via analytics (page views, session duration)

How we use it

To generate and deliver your positioning report
To follow up about your results or our services
To improve the assessment experience
To send you relevant content if you opt in

Who we share it with

We use a small set of third-party tools to operate the business:

Stripe — payment processing. Their privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.
HubSpot — CRM and email. Your contact information and engagement history is stored here.
Resend — transactional email delivery (your report, receipts).
Vercel / Netlify — hosting infrastructure.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your data. Full stop.

Cookies

We use functional cookies to keep the site working and analytics cookies to understand how people use it. If you decline cookies via the banner, we respect that. No analytics data is collected.

Data retention

We keep your assessment data and contact information for up to 3 years, or until you ask us to delete it. Payment records are kept for 7 years for tax purposes (Stripe holds these).

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Email hello@podiumpositioning.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're in the EU or UK, you also have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Terms of Service

Effective March 2026 · By using this site or purchasing, you agree to these terms.

Short version: Pay for what you get. Don't misuse it. We're not liable for how you use the output. If something goes wrong, let us know before going to court.

Who we are

Podium Positioning LLC is a positioning and communications consulting firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These terms govern your use of podiumpositioning.com and any services or digital products you purchase from us.

What you're buying

When you purchase the Positioning Scorecard Report ($29) or any other product, you're purchasing a one-time digital deliverable. The report is generated using your inputs and AI-assisted analysis, reviewed for quality, and delivered to your email.

For consulting engagements (The Podium Protocol and above), a separate statement of work governs deliverables, timeline, and payment schedule.

Acceptable use

You may use your report for your own professional positioning. You may not:

Resell or redistribute the report or its contents
Represent our analysis as your original work in a commercial context
Use the site to submit false, fraudulent, or harmful information
Attempt to reverse-engineer the assessment system or AI prompting

Intellectual property

The report content generated from your assessment is yours to use. The assessment framework, methodology, prompt architecture, and site content belong to Podium Positioning LLC. Nothing in your purchase transfers ownership of our underlying systems.

Limitation of liability

We provide positioning recommendations and strategic guidance, not guarantees of business outcomes. Results depend on how you apply the recommendations, your market conditions, and factors outside our control. Podium Positioning LLC's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product or service in question.

Disputes

If you have a problem, email us first: hello@podiumpositioning.com. We'd rather fix it directly. If we can't resolve it, disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If you've purchased something, the terms at the time of purchase apply to that transaction. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date.

If the report didn't deliver what was promised, we'll make it right.

Positioning Scorecard Report ($29)

Because this is a digital product delivered immediately upon payment, we don't offer automatic refunds. However:

If the report failed to generate or was delivered with errors, we'll regenerate it or refund you. No questions asked.
If you feel the report didn't reflect your inputs accurately, email us within 7 days. We'll review it and either fix it or refund you.
If you simply changed your mind after reading it, we'll consider a refund on a case-by-case basis. We'd rather you get value from this than leave unhappy.

To request a refund, email hello@podiumpositioning.com with your order confirmation. We respond within 2 business days.

Consulting Engagements (Podium Protocol, Retainer, Partnership)

Refund terms for consulting engagements are outlined in the statement of work you receive before any payment is made. Generally:

A 50% deposit secures your start date. This deposit is non-refundable once strategy work has begun.
If we haven't started work yet, the deposit is fully refundable within 48 hours of payment.
Final payments are due on delivery of completed work.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We take disputes seriously and respond quickly. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may affect your ability to purchase from us in the future.
